Summer Lip Shades

If it’s all about summer dresses, summer hair-do’s, patio drinks, and summer meals –then why not have our makeup be summer specific?

There are always so many options in our eyeshadow palettes for all seasons, but you really have to go out of your way to find the perfect lippies for each season. Today on House of Classy, I am focussing on summer lip colours! I mean, it is my favourite time of year and the sun is trying to come out here in Vancouver!

You can’t go wrong with a red. It is one of those colours that you HAVE to keep in your stash as it ALWAYS comes in handy each season. Whether it is a shiny light red gloss for day-time running around, or a deep red for a night out on the town, red is the perfect colour for anyone! Some of my favourites are pictured below.

My absolute favourite colour for Summer is PINK! Every. Single. Shade. Light pink is perfect for everyday wear and even for work because it’s more of a neutral colour. If you want a bolder look, you have to try my favourite shade Velvet Underground by Charlotte Tilbury. This is a very bright and deep pink, I have worn it on many occasions, including my sisters graduation and it was the perfect touch to finish off my simple slip-on dress.

Last, but not least, you have to scrub those lips! The BEST lip scrub is by Lush Cosmetics. It takes off all of the unwanted flakey dead skin, and keeps your lips looking fresh, even after wearing a matte lipstick all day long! There is also lip primer and plumper [elf cosmetics makes one that is super affordable and works great!] You can put them both on underneath your lipstick to plump your lips up and it makes them tingle, and then you use the primer on the other end of the stick so that the colour you chose to wear, will show up a lot better.
